Songs about Drought

“It Never Rains in Southern California” – Albert Hammond
“Blue Sky Mining” – Midnight Oil (though not strictly about drought)
“Parchment Farm” – Blue Cheer (and many others have also recorded this)
the entire “Dust and Dreams” album – Camel (I don’t like this album)
the entire “Rajaz” album – Camel (this one is not actually about drought, but about the (Sahara) desert (and this album rocks)
“Death Valley Nights” – Blue Oyster Cult
“Earth Omen” – Frijid Pink (cheesy, cheesy, but has aged well)
“Who’s Gonna Win the War?” – Hawkwind (drough caused by a nuclear armageddon)
“Death of Mother Nature” – Kansas (cheesy, but I think it is beautiful)
“Dreams of Milk and Honey” – Leslie West’s Mountain
“Theme for an Imaginary Western” – Cream (but also Mountain and a myriad others)
“Stargazer” – Rainbow (it mentions dryness and drought)
